Welocome to another Belief News with Lydia. Today the question is, “Who is Jesus?” If you read the previous blog, this one will reveal the reason for sin, our topic last time.
I asked some very strong Christians this time. They would say he is our Savior, but even more. One Christian made the point that he is God’s sacrifice, and that is how he is our savior.
“waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” Titus 2:13. “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed” Isaiah 53:5. Jesus, God the Son, became flesh to take our punishment.
“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from it’s bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God” Romans 8:20-21. How can we be free if we were not first in bondage? God allowed sin so that through the lovning power of his Son we might be set free from it.
